Ultimate Golf is a Mizuno DNA Custom Fitting Centre. A player can come to Ultimate Golf and be fit to the perfect shaft within 15 minutes. We can apply our skills to the more constant components - length, lie angle, grip size, knowing that our Fitting System will look after the engine of the club - the shaft.
Custom fitting options over the years has grown considerably, ten years ago the most complex shaft choices were stiff or regular. Giving players more and more custom options than ever, also means the average player has more ways to get it wrong.
Mizuno has addressed this problem and have developed a unique technology that has taken shaft fitting to a whole new level. They have created a swing DNA system which identifies the individual blueprints in every swing.
This unique software sifts through the mass of shaft options to select the optimal match, based on the readings from Mizuno's swing DNA Optimiser. Before this technology was developed this process was time-consuming and inaccurate now with swing DNA technology that is a thing of the past and now can produce immediate and consistent recordings.
Why the Shaft Optimiser is so unique is in the amount of information it records.
There are so many variables to consider the most typical, clubhead speed and tempo can be used to determine the ideal weight and flex, but with so many others - weight, flex, kick point, tip softness is used to define the players optimum shaft.
To be able to build the players unique blueprint the Shaft Optimiser also measures shaft toe down, shaft kick angle and release factor readings.
Traditional custom built shaft recommendations were built on the theory, faster swingers needed stiff shafts and everyone else was a regular. These days the Mizuno range of custom shafts has over 50 options and only a hand full of facilities able to take advantage.
Today the new shaft optimiser changes everything. The Shaft Optimiser records an individuals Swing DNA from just 3 real shots, the unique DNA reading is designed to narrow down from over 50 shaft options to the best match, but thats not it, it also suggests two other back up options to test against.
The Shaft Optimiser process incorporates a interchangeable shaft system that recommended shaft and head combinations can be tested.
Offering a choice of head weights - graphite, lighter and standard each club is designed to feel and play exactly like the final product. Once the club head is attached to the shaft it will have the same feel as a production iron.
